Winter 2021
Harnessing the Power of Key Performance Indicators and Dashboards
January 19, 2021
9:00 am-10:30 am
Organizations are transformed and empowered when they understand and use their numbers and data to drive mission impact.
Your funders want to know that their donation makes a difference. Your team wants to know that the work they are doing truly changes lives. Your board wants to understand the relationship between your finances and your mission delivery. Stories are compelling and engaging ways to communicate your impact.
Data can do more than inform, it can also transform. Stories that incorporate tangible data will amplify your message. In this workshop we will:
- Explore Key Performance Indicators
- Look at examples of how organizations are using Key Performance Indicators to advance their work
- Share examples of dashboards
- Discuss how best to report to your funders
- Learn how to tell your story with data
In addition to looking at different types of dashboards, we will learn about the role of leading indicators and lagging indicators in charting success.
There is no cost for the workshop, but registration is required.
Participants of the workshop will have the opportunity to apply for a KPI Cohort Project grant through BLBB Charitable. Over the course of a year, the KPI Cohort Project grant will enable up to ten nonprofit leaders (and their teams) to build nonprofit capacity through the design of unique projects to manage the use of Key Performance Indicators within their organizations. Grantees will be selected through a competitive grant process.
The KPI Cohort will launch in early Spring of 2021.
